Aroma Mixtures from the Bahnhof-Apotheke in Kempten

The original aromatic blends of Ingeborg Stadelmann have been around since 1988 and are produced in the Bahnhof-Apotheke in Kempten. It all started when Ingeborg Stadelmann, a midwife, and Dietmar Wolz, a chemist, decided to put their expertise together. They used their knowledge about pharmaceuticals, aromatherapy, herbal medicine, homeopathy together with many years of practical experience to prepare recipes from natural, essential and rich vegetable oils.
Their main target group at first were pregnant women, nursing mothers and babies. Later, with increasing success, they also developed general mixtures for everyday ailments. From the very beginning, the Bahnhof-Apotheke in Kempten has put an emphasis on using high-quality raw materials in their in-house production. These are mainly from certified, ‘controlled organic cultivation’ and contain no preservatives or synthetic substances.
Today, over 25 years later, Ingeborg Stadelmann is very popular with the large and small, and the young and old . However, most users are still pregnant women and their children. These products are especially popular: Schwangerschafts-Tee-Mischung (Maternity Tea Mixture) for hormonal balance and optimal preparation for childbirth; Kreuzbeinmassage-Öl-Mischung (Sacral Massage Oil) mixture, if the baby’s weight pulls back and hurts; when the child does not rotate in the abdomen, the “mother-to-be” can try an abdominal massage oil called „Purzelbaumöl“ (“Somersault Oil”). For the period after birth, the Wochenbettbauchmassageöl (Postpartum Abdominal Massage Oil) helps you to return to your original figure. It assists in reshaping, shrinking and firming the skin. After a Caesarean section, Narbenpflegecreme, (Scar Cream) helps the scar to heal better.
And for the little ones, there is Fenchel-Kümmel-Öl (Fennel Caraway Oil) for a tummy massage when it tweaks and pinches in the belly, because baby has to first get used to the new world, and the new kind of food, even if it comes from Mum. Almost all parents know a red, sore baby bum – then we recommend Windelbalsam (Nappy Balm). And for the baby or toddler with a plaguing cold, the coveted Engelwurz– (Angelica)- Thymian-Myrte-Balsam or (Thyme Myrtle Balm) is used.
For ordinary situations and complaints other than pregnancy and lactation, Fußbäder (foot baths) based on Dead Sea salt as well as Ölziehkur Zitrone (Oil Pulling Lemon) are on offer. Oil pulling or oil swishing every morning, is an ancient Ayurvedic practice used to help improve oral health and detoxification. It is claimed that it works by “pulling out” toxins, which are known as “ama” in Ayurvedic medicine, and thereby reduces inflammation. It involves the use of pure oils in order to pull harmful bacteria, fungus, and other organisms out of the mouth, teeth, gums and throat. People who pull oil claim it is capable of improving oral and systemic health, including a benefit in conditions such as headaches, migraines, diabetes, asthma and acne, as well as whitening teeth. In a morning application, it helps to detoxify, clean and maintain the oral cavity too. The oil must be “chewed” or “swished” for about 15-20 minutes and is pulled through the teeth.
